On the PDC blog today- PL layouts

Hi Everyone,
Today I have some suggestions on how to get started on your project life album, especially if you are just starting now, at almost 8 weeks in. If you pop on over to Polka Dot creative blog here you can read my post on how to.

W 3 2014 double Ellie

5. I usually do 1 week to a page layout, however I did do a double page Lo for week 3, as it was a very busy week. I also love wood veneer elements, but I usually like to emboss them. I used gold ink and then zing Gold Glitter embossing powder for a fast finish. I also modified some of my 6 x4 PL pockets by machine sewing down the center to make them 3×4 sized. I then turned one into a shaker pocket by inserting sequins before I sewed it shut.

If you do decide to modify your PL pockets to a smaller size please be aware that you need to have the front & back card finished and in there before you sew and you will not be able to get it out, or put one in. I also used stitches to baste the long 2x 12 journal cards in, as they kept slipping out.
